  • Malee, the one-year old elephant calf, is an Asian elephant that weighed 300 pounds when she was born April 15, 2011. “Malee” is Thai for “jasmine” or “flower”.
  • Science Museum Oklahoma made state history when it opened the first large-format dome-screen theater in 2000.
  • The two beloved grizzly bears at the Oklahoma Trails exhibit are named Wiley and Will.
  • Science Museum Oklahoma was founded in 1958 by Admiral John Kilpatrick, who started the Kilpatrick Oil Company in 1950 after serving in World War II.
  • Every Wednesday in July and August is ‘Way Back Wednesdays’ at the Zoo, only $1 per person! Rides and concessions are also only $1.

Children 11 and under are invited to join the story time sessions at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. at Grandma’s Porch inside the Zoo’s Children Zoo.
  • The 2003 Titanic exhibit at the Science Museum Oklahoma brought in record attendance during its seven months: over 217,000 visitors!

  • 2:30pm-4:30pm Stop by and say hello to our furry four legged friend, Stormy the News 9 weather dog.
