On September 28, 1891, Chandler, Oklahoma was one of two towns to have its own land run and be established. The city has a population of approximately 2,900 people, with a school system consisting of a pre-kindergarten through second grade elementary, a third grade though sixth grade elementary, a junior high, and a high school. 19 properties in Chandler are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.   • One of Chandler’s first hotels and the 3-story Egbert Opera House was built and operated by a woman, Martha Egbert.
  • Chandler has 19 properties listed in the National Register of Historic Places, including a 1927 Phillips filling station, several homes and churches, pre-statehood commercial buildings, and a 1909 National Guard Statistical Building.
  • Chandler has a rich National Guard heritage; the 1937 WPA-built armory has received rehabilitation and re-use as the Chandler Rt.66 Interpretive Center.
  • You can tie your horse to original hitching rings in downtown Chandler. Few towns, if any, in Oklahoma have hitching rings still in a sidewalk. They’re in front of 1897-98 native stone buildings housing the Lincoln County Historical Society Museum of Pioneer History.

The Lincoln County Museum of Pioneer History has an assortment of exhibits that tell the story of Lincoln County’s origin and many residents.

B’s Restaurant

B’s Restaurant claims to have the "Best Steaks in Oklahoma." A family owned and operated restaurant, B’s grinds their ground beef, cuts their steaks and pork chops, and slices their full muscle ham. At B’s, if you can’t cut your steak with a butter knife, it’s free.

Chandler Middle School

Michael Armstrong will teach kids about Oklahoma weather during an entertaining and informative weather presentation. Val Castor will join in on the fun with a special presentation.

Amanda Taylor and Kelly Ogle will participate in a special Veteran’s Day luncheon highlighting Military families.

Chandler High School

Robin Marsh, Stan Miller and Jed Castles will drop by Chandler High School to talk to an extraordinary teacher and some of her students.
