Don’s Alley

Don’s Alley has been a staple in Del City for over 50 years. Don still sits in the front booth to greet customers every day. Their pies are made fresh every morning and they are famous for their cinnamon rolls.

  • Come out for a coffee, a cinnamon roll, and a chance to win some awesome prizes.

11:00am-6:00pm

Mid Del Taco

Mid Del Taco has been in Del City for nearly 50 years. They were the first drive-through in town. Their claim to fame is guacamole made fresh on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Come enjoy some good food and lots of fun.

Wiggly Field Dog Park

This dog park has everything. A separate small dog area, lots of trees, turf, lights, play equipment, chairs, fire hydrants for the dogs, water fountains, shade awnings and paths. Come enjoy the outdoors and say hello to Stormy, the News 9 Weather Dog.

School Visits

Del City High School

Robin Marsh, Stan Miller and Jed Castles will join Del City High School at the beginning of their school day on Wednesday to hang out with students, participate in some spirit activities, and try not to get expelled.

Epperly Heights Elementary

Oklahoma’s number one Meteorologist, Gary England, will teach kids about Oklahoma weather during an entertaining and informative weather presentation. Mason Dunn will join in on the fun with SkyNews 9 HD and a special presentation.

Rotary Club

Don’s Alley

Amanda Taylor and Kelly Ogle will participate in a special noon discussion meeting of the Rotary Club at Don’s Alley.

Fun Facts About Del City »

  • During the Land Run of 1889, settler Jordan Pybas and his wife settled in what is current day Del City. Today, the house that was completed in 1907 is occupied by the fifth generation of the Pybas family.
  • George Epperly, the city founder, started the city with a 160 acre wheat field he purchased in 1946.
  • The name Del City is based on the city's founder's eldest daughter, Delaphene.
  • Home of John Smith, a two-time Olympic gold medalist in the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics. John is currently the wrestling coach at Oklahoma State University.
  • Del City is home of MTM Recognition (known to many as Midwest Trophy) which was founded in Del City in 1971. This trophy maker has produced awards for world class events such as the Olympics, Super Bowl, World Series, and the NCAA Championships.
  • Home of Bob Kalsu, an All-American tackle at the University of Oklahoma and NFL player for the Buffalo Bills. Del City's Robert Kalsu Stadium is named in his honor. He was the only NFL player killed in the line of duty during the Vietnam War.
