The Porch Visits Art In Bloom At The Oklahoma City Museum Of Art

Art in Bloom debuts at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art this weekend.

News 9's Jordan Ryan took the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to the museum to see what visitors can expect.

Art in Bloom showcases local floral designers who are given art in the museum to draw inspiration from.

Todd Kyker, with Trochta's Flowers, whose work will be featured in the exhibit, said he tried to find a bridge between art and floral to make his piece.

"We were given this one-of-a-kind reference in a floral production, so we kind of started gathering materials, thinking, what could emulate this?" Kyker said. "We got started and put together what we thought would best represent with the products that we had available to us."

Kyker said they used several different elements to emulate the art reference they were given including bamboo, dracaena foliage, orchids, and tropical foliage.
