Brooke Griffin joined News on 6 as a multimedia journalist in May of 2020. She is so excited to call Oklahoma home!
Before moving to Tulsa, Brooke worked as a multimedia journalist at the CBS affiliate in Charleston, SC. She covered Hurricanes Florence and Michael as they barreled through the Lowcountry, spent several days gathering the stories of officers who were ambushed and killed while serving a warrant, and had the chance to interview over two dozen presidential candidates who were fighting for the 2020 republican and democratic nominations. Brooke got her start in news at the Huntington/Charleston WV NBC affiliate as a photographer where she worked for two years.
Brooke is originally from North Carolina, but she graduated from Marshall University in Huntington WV with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science. She also worked for the university as a sports reporter during football season (go Herd!).
When Brooke isn’t reporting, she is likely trying to find a way to spend all of her free time outside. She enjoys hiking, doing just about anything on the water, and even going for a walk on a nice day. She also loves finding the best ice cream place in each town she goes to, so if you have any suggestions for cool outdoor activities or a great ice cream shop, she would love for you to email or message her!
If you have a story idea or just want to say hello, you can email Brooke.
