OKEMAH, Oklahoma - The Okfuskee County District Attorney has filed charges against a Paden women who claimed she was abducted.

Michelle Davis had been missing for more than a month when she returned to her parents' Mustang home in September.

Davis was charged Friday with solicitation for murder in the first-degree, accessory after the fact and false reporting of a crime.

Davis told investigators she pulled her car over after realizing she had a flat tire. She claims someone then grabbed her from behind.

Davis told authorities she cannot remember anything beyond that point.

Some family members said they doubt the kidnapping story.

"I think she just got so deep in something, she was desperate to try to figure out a way to get out of it," Davis' uncle-in-law Charles Cook previously told NEWS 9.

Davis' mother denied accusations that her daughter hired a hit man to kill her husband.

Charges have also been filed against 33-year-old Anthony Scarpitti including shooing with intent to kill, possessing firearms after conviction or during probation and conspiracy.

Okfuskee County deputies arrested Scarpitti in December.

The target of the alleged murder plot is Michelle Davis' husband.
