EL RENO, Oklahoma -- El Reno police discovered more than 80 cats in a home Sunday after reporting to a call of domestic dispute.

Abandoned Cats

Police officers said the house was filled with feces and cat hair and cats were crawling everywhere.

The city condemned the property, citing that it was unlivable.

Officers seized a total of 82 cats and three dogs and took them to a shelter.

Many of the cats tested positive for the deadly feline leukemia, while the remaining healthy cats are being taken to pet rescue shelters across Oklahoma City.

Anyone interested in adopting a cat can call Pet Angels Rescue at 413-2895.

No charges have been filed in the case.
