OKLAHOMA CITY -- A group of Oklahoma City women is wrapping up some Christmas cheer for soldiers overseas.

A group of military moms are packing 200 boxes just in time for Christmas, as part of the year-round mission for the Blue Star Mothers as their loved ones serve overseas in the war.

"This is the morale thing that comes from home," Diane Jordan said.

Jordan's son recently returned from service oversees.

"It's kind of a way of reaching out," Jordan said.

In each baggie is a present of love, packed with care and words from the heart for our hometown heroes.

"You know, there are a lot of kids who don't have anyone," Jordan said. "When they get this package, this says, 'We know you're there, we're thinking about you and we're grateful for what you're doing'."

After the goodies are sorted, volunteers will be spending all day packing the presents to ship them on their way, just in time for Christmas.
