I-40 bridge in Del City narrowed for emergency repairs

DEL CITY, Okla. -- The right and center lanes of eastbound Interstate 40 in Del City were reopened Wednesday after emergency bridge repairs.

The lane at SE 15 and the Sunnylane on-ramp were also closed.

Officials said the maintenance to the 3-foot hole affected rush hour traffic and commuters were asked to avoid the area by taking alternative routes.

All lanes were reopened around 6 p.m.
