Two Ada women arrested in alleged hit man hire

ADA, Okla. -- An Oklahoma man serving in the United States Military is now in custody and on his way back home where he'll faces charges of trying to hire a hit man to kill his wife.

The accused husband is now in the custody of military police. The FBI, OSBI and investigators in Ada said he worked with two other women on a plan to kill his wife. The plan failed and now all three are facing serious charges.

Regina Hercules and Tonia Mullins are sitting behind bars. One is in the county jail. The other is in the city jail.

Together the women from Ada are accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill the wife of an unidentified man serving in the U.S. Military miles away in Korea.

The Pontotoc County D.A. said the serviceman was in on the plan to kill.

"We are expected to file a count of solicitation for first-degree murder against each of the females arrested today and against the serviceman when he returns," Pontotoc County District Attorney, Chris Ross said.

Hercules' husband said his family is shocked and his 42-year-old wife works with the 32-year-old Mullins, but refused to say where.

Meanwhile, investigators said they have text messages, photographs; even videotapes to prove the two women approached another woman to do the dirty work. Instead, she went to the FBI.

The D.A. will not say what the motive was for the attempted murder. He's just happy the plan backfired, but at this point the intended victim is still left with more questions than answers.

"I think one of the things that the victim appeared to be really upset about was, you know, ‘this is what someone values my life as, in this dollar amount'," Ross said.

The D.A. won't say what that amount is. He also refused to ID the serviceman because he hasn't been charged yet. However, we are told this man and his wife does have a newborn baby.

All three suspects are expected to be charged early next week. All three suspects could face five-years-to-life in prison if they are found guilty.
