OKLAHOMA CITY -- At least one person was injured after a pickup truck reportedly crashed into a gas meter in south Oklahoma City Wednesday afternoon.
Hazardous material crews were on the scene of a gas leak that was a result of the crash.
Oklahoma Natural Gas spokesman Don Sherry said the truck struck a commercial meter in the 6900 block of S Western Avenue.
Services to residential and other accounts are not affected. At 1: 30 p.m., Sherry said crews should be able to plug the leak quickly and everything returned to normal within the hour.
At 12:30 p.m., Western Avenue was closed from Interstate 240 to SW 59, firefighters said.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.
