Police arrest two metro homicide suspects

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police arrested two suspects Saturday night who allegedly murdered 25-year-old Vanessa Swaissi.

Nicco Barnett, 18, and Laverie Franklin, 21, are being held in the Oklahoma County jail on murder complaints.

Swaissi was shot Thursday night and was found by police near her car off NW 63. Friends of Swaissi said she was giving the two men a ride from a nearby gas station before the shooting.

The suspects were arrested near NE 36 and Kelley Avenue at the Sooner Haven apartment complex. Police found the two suspects hiding in a closet, officers said.

Police said they also are investigating whether the two men were involved in a Del City robbery where a man was shot to death early Thursday morning.
