MOORE, Okla. -- Moore Police have plenty of clues to sift through after two thieves tried to rob a First National Bank ATM. They left quite a bit of damage behind in the process, but left without any money.

Just before dawn Tuesday a couple of guys drove up in a stolen Suburban, tied a chain around the ATM machine, and tried to drag it out of the bank. They did not succeed.

"The only thing that they did was cause about $10,000 worth of damage," Todd Strickland with Moore police said. "They weren't able to get the ATM out of the bank, wasn't able to get any money. So, they left in a hurry, left the chain here."

The bank's security camera caught the truck backing up, and one of the men getting out and attaching the chain. He's a white male in his late 30s or early 40s. On his left inside arm he has what appears to be a dragon tattoo.

The ATM machine now sits inside the bank, its future usefulness unknown. Nothing like this has ever happened in Moore before.

"I have heard some national stories about ATM machines being stolen, and people being able to obtain pin numbers, but we have not had anything here in Moore," Strickland said.

Wednesday afternoon police recovered the stolen Suburban in a Del City church parking lot. They're trying to recover fingerprints, but are also hoping someone will recognize the man by his tattoo--and lead them to him.
