Homeowner fatally shot

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. -- An Osage County man was fatally shot outside his home near Sand Springs late Wednesday, authorities said.

Ronnie Barrett, 41, was shot at about 10 p.m. in his front yard after he was approached by two men wearing mask, sheriff's deputies said. An argument ensued and the men shot Barrett and then fled the scene in Barett's truck.  

A few hours later, the Chevy pickup truck was found at the Apple Creek Apartments at U.S. Highway 412 and 129th West Avenue, by the victim's brother, who called Sand Springs Police. 

Barrett's wife was standing in the yard and witnesed the shooting. She told deputies she had never seen the suspects before.
