Police arrest man in high-speed chase

Adam Holder was arrested Sunday after leading police on a high speed chase, ending on the westbound ramp of Interstate 44 at Pennsylvania Ave.

Police were lead on the chase after attempting a routine traffic stop shortly after noon. Holder failed to pull over, instead fleeing in his vehicle.  He attempted to force two separate head-on collisions with officers, authorities said.

Holder drove his vehicle into a patrol car, through a fence and into the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex. The chase lasted almost an hour, with speeds reaching up to 90 mph.

Holder fled the scene on foot, but was taken into custody shortly after. Police found a crack pipe, several ID's and credit cards, and tools used to commit burglaries inside the vehicle.

Holder faces charges including Possession of a stolen vehicle, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Possession of controlled, dangerous substance after former felony conviction, and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.
