FAIRVIEW, Okla. -- Criminal charges were dropped against a Fairview woman whose teenage son is accused of manufacturing an explosive device from their home.

The Major County District Attorney's office confirmed the eight felony charges against 37-year-old Denise Nunn are being dropped.

Nunn's 17-year-old son is charged with building pipe bombs at home and bringing bomb-making materials to Fairview High School in February.

Denise Nunn was accused of purchasing gun powder and fuses for her son. Nunn reportedly told investigators the purchases were made for a high school science project.

Investigators say a total of seven active pipe bombs, and three others in various stages of construction, were found in Nunn's home. Police say the teen brought the materials to class so he could drill holes for fuses.
