Staff and Wire Reports

Hundreds of people turned out Friday morning at Dewar First Baptist Church for the funeral of one of two girls killed in Sunday's shooting near Weleetka.

The services Friday morning were for 13-year-old Taylor Paschal-Placker who died with 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker in the shooting.

Skyla Whitaker, 13, had her funeral services at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 420 West Trudgeon St., in Henryetta.

The girls were shot a number of times in the head and chest with weapons of two different calibers, leading authorities to think at least two gunman were involved.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Agent Ben Rosser said it's suspected a local person was involved because the killings occurred in such an isolated area. He said there is no indication family or friends were involved.

Officials ask that if you have any information regarding the case to call the OSBI Hotline at 1-800-522-8017.
