You might remember a few weeks ago I wrote about all the festival munchies that show up in our newsroom.  Today some evil soul brought in donuts...but not just donuts...KRISPY KREMES!

That's so wrong.

Because we're in the middle of a six-week pedometer program here at NEWS9.  10,000 steps per day.  Someone, it seems, is trying to sabotage those steps.

"Walk this way,"

"Talk this way,"

"Walk this way,"

"Talk this way,"

It's amazing how competitive people have become here at NEWS9...about WALKING!  We have several teams, and some of them are  putting up OUTRAGEOUS numbers.

And the smack talk...you wouldn't believe the smack talk.  It's a daily thing.  No kidding.

There's even one guy...I'll call him "Jay," who professes to walk at least 25,000 steps a day.  Are you kidding me?

Of course, every time I come back from Sonic, I see "Jay" walking across the parking lot.  I also see him when I come back from Taco Mayo, sometimes when I'm coming back from Mcdonald's.

But everyone really is taking it seriously, even me.  I've even gotten my behind out of bed early in the mornings to run...or walk.  Some folks are coming to work in the mornings with 10,000 steps already!  People are losing weight left and right.

"Wasn't me she was foolin' cause she knew what she was doin'"

"When she told me how to walk this way,"

"She told me to"

"Walk this way..."

I've gotta go--gotta go and run around the hallway and get my 10,000 steps.  I'm just over 9,200 right now.

I'll probably drive by "Jay" on the way out.

Come to think of it, it was probably him that brought the Krispy Kremes.
