Man shot in leg by attempted carjackers

A man was shot in the knee while someone attempted to carjack him. The man told police the bullet went through his knee and then into his foot.

The man said he came home after the incident and told his wife he had been shot and to call 911.

EMSA transported the man near his home, SW 43 and Portland Avenue, to a local hospital to be treated.
