Hot and windy weather will continue through today, with the chance for severe thunderstorms returning to much of the state this evening and early Friday. Most likely, the chance for severe weather will occur between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. today.

Late Thursday, the chance for thunderstorms returns to much of the state as a strong low pressure system moves through our region.  Some of these storms are expected to become severe.  Risks may include large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes.

Thunderstorm chances continue overnight into Friday, when the system will continue on to the east.  This weekend will return to the hot and dry conditions of early week.
