Twisters tear through Oklahoma

A strong thunderstorm produced multiple tornadoes Saturday that damaged buildings and downed powerlines in parts of Kingfisher, Garfield and Logan counties.

A strong thunderstorm produced multiple tornadoes Saturday that damaged buildings and downed power lines in parts of Kingfisher, Garfield and Logan counties.

Multiple tornadoes have been reported. Two were confirmed near Lacey, in northwest Kingfisher County. One was spotted about two miles west of Lacey; the other about two miles northeast of the community. Tornadoes were also reported southwest of Bison and north of Marshall.

An Emergency operations command post was set up at the Douglas Fire Department in Garfield County.

At 7 p.m., Garfield County authorities reported a church was damaged near Covington.

At 5:45 p.m., no injuries or fatalities had been reported, according to the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management.

Storm damage has Highway 74 blocked from County Line to Highway 412.

Damage also was reported to a grain elevator on Highway 132 in far northwest Kingfisher County. 

At 4:15 p.m., power lines were down near highways 132 and 51 in Kingfisher county. Cimarron Electric crews were en route for repairs.

At about 2:30 p.m., a tornado touched down and damaged a pig farm north of Lacey, Okla. Click here for related story and video.

It's the third consecutive day Oklahomans have faced severe weather threats. Strong storms damaged one home Friday night in western Oklahoma.

A string of supercells produced at least one tornado in Harper County on Friday. The tornado touchdown around 8:10 p.m., 10 miles northeast of Fort Supply.

The storm downed some trees and power lines, and forced officials to stop a nearby high school graduation ceremony.

Most of the storms that formed over northwest Oklahoma Friday evening tracked into south-central Kansas, where they intensified and produced numerous, long-track, large tornadoes.
