Body found near Lake Overholser

A body was found in a car near Lake Overholser on County Line Rd. early Wednesday morning.

Oklahoma City police said they discovered a body in a car on County Line Rd. just south of Lake Overholser early Wednesday morning. The car had crashed into a tree and police said they feel as though the person they found was not the driver of the car.

The car was found at about 5 a.m. after a passerby, on the way to work, spotted the wrecked car off the roadway along the Oklahoma-Canadian County line and found the body inside, police said.

After conducting a foot, canine and helicopter search, police have now started visiting addresses connectd to the car and local area hospitals to locate the allegedly missing driver

No names have been released at this time.
