SMITHVILLE, Okla. - Authorities are continuing their manhunt for a violent sexual predator in McCurtain County.

Keith Miller, 42, is wanted by U.S. Marshals for probation violation. Tuesday was the second day of the search.

He was being pursued by Polk County, Arkansas authorities when he fled in a stolen vehicle to Oklahoma, according to a highway patrol report.

Miller's vehicle crashed and he fled on foot at about 2 a.m. Sunday near the Smithville School in northern McCurtain County.

School officials canceled classes Monday and Tuesday after authorities set up a command center at the school.

The highway patrol has set up roadblocks and is searching for Miller by air, according to the highway patrol.

Miller was released from an Oklahoma prison in 2006 after serving 22 years for a conviction on two counts of rape and kidnapping in Adair County.

Miller is considered armed and dangerous. Troopers ask citizens to call their local authorities if they see him.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
