Authorities catch 3 escapees from Taft prison

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections and Muskogee County authorities have recaptured three prison escapees.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections and Muskogee County authorities have recaptured three prison escapees.

The trio was discovered missing about 4 a.m. Monday during a head count at the Jess Dunn Correctional Center in Taft. 

The trio, identified Oscar Rodriquez, 27; Carlos Valladares, 22, and  Fernando Aguilar-Gonzalez, 28, were arrested in rural Muskogee County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Prison records show Valladares is serving a four-year sentence for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Aguilar-Gonzalez is serving four years for burglary, larceny, drug, alcohol and false identification crimes, while Rodriquez is serving a 10-year term for drug trafficking.
