Trying to stay focused

Well what to say about this week? It was there and we made it through. It wasn't a bad week it just seems to be getting crazier and crazier for us week after week. We both lost a big chunk of weight

Well what to say about this week? It was there and we made it through. It wasn't a bad week it just seems to be getting crazier and crazier for us week after week.

We both lost a big chunk of weight last week and were hoping to keep it off and continue to lose weight as much as possible. Whether that actually happens just depends.

Lately we have been trying to incorporate lots of different activities in our daily life besides just going to the gym. We've been doing the stairs at work each separately on our lunch or afternoon breaks. We've taken the dogs running around the neighborhood. Josh likes to get up early on Saturday morning and go running around the neighborhood by himself too. Anything to be more active then we usually are is a good thing. It seems to be working well into our daily lives.

Another thing we've been doing differently is getting up early to go to the gym. We get there by 5:30 or 6 a.m. and either attend a class, meet with our trainer or just do some cardio on our own using the fitness machines. My mom never thought she'd see the day when I even knew there was a 5:30 a.m.! Haha-but seriously, I like waking up early because then I have so much more time to do things.

Josh and I always struggled to just make everything fit in to one day. We could never figure out how to do it, but now we have more then enough time usually to get everything done that we want to. And I say all this because it is completely possible due to our workouts. When we exercise we have tons more energy and are upbeat most of the time. This effects our productivity at work, gives us energy to do other things like hobbies outside of work, and we still are willing and able to make quality relaxing time for at home. But don't get me wrong, some days it is hard to get out of bed in the mornings just to go kick our butts in the gym. If we didn't we would feel the affects though and our one lethargic day would turn into weeks and so on. So we try to stay as focused as possible to staying on task and at least do some kind of exercise every day!
