Granted it wasn't the deciding game of the NBA Finals, but what Blake Griffin did Saturday was nontheless inspiring. When he checked into the game five-and-a-half minutes in, I rubbed my eyes to make sure I was seeing things clearly.
Blake hobbled onto the court then decided to go ahead and put the team on his back while he was there. There are a lot of things that go into making a player great. Skill is certainly at the top of the list. But toughness and competitiveness are not far behind. We learned volumes about where Griffin ranks in those two categories on Saturday.
As for Bedlam, I'm trying to envision a scenario by which OSU wins tonight. I'm having a hard time. I think OU is carrying too much momentum...add a raucous crowd...add Big Blake's return...add OSU's recent poor shooting...add the fact the Cowboys haven't won a road game in two years, and I think a double-digit win is in the works tonight for the Sooners.
Prediction: OU-68, OSU-55.
