Oklahomans who aren't registered voters have run out of time to have a voice in the Feb. 5 primary.
The deadline to register was Friday.
Last minute applicants kept the phones lines busy at the state election board Friday afternoon. Voters
are expected to turn out big in this primary election-- and with good reason.
"It may well be that some of the candidates who've come in third, like John Edwards, would spend more money here and try to get some news out of some of the smaller southern states," said Mike Clingman of the State Election Board. "Having said that, Oklahomans will have more of a voice than we've had in a long time."
Oklahomans have until October 10th to register for the November general election.
