Gunfire hits woman walking near apartment

A woman was in stable condition Tuesday morning after being shot in the chest, Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Gary Knight said.

The victim was walking from her apartment to her cousin's apartment in the 5800 block of NW 29 Street about midnight, Knight said. The woman thought she heard a firecracker, but then realized she had been shot, he said.

No arrests have been made, Knight said.
