The Oklahoma City city council met earlier today to set a date for a sales tax proposal vote that could help bring an NBA team to the city.

The one cent sales tax would pay for improvements to the Ford Center, including a practice gym for the team.

The tax would start next January 1 after the Maps for Kids sales tax ends.

The city council set the city-wide sales tax vote for March 4.
