An Edmond boy is getting help in his battle against a rare blood disease.

A Winter carnival was hosted Saturday to benefit 12-year-old Austin Giacomo.

Austin has gone through chemotherapy and radiation since he was diagnosed with the blood disease two years ago.

The fundraiser was organized to help his family with medical bills.

"Me and my family have gotten a lot closer to God and that's the only thing that really matters," he said.
