The 25th annual Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon officially begins Sunday as runners take off from the starting line.

Located next to the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, the starting line sees thousands of runners pass through as they begin their 26.2-mile journey across the Oklahoma City metro.

Organizers say this year is the biggest yet with around 25,000 runners participating—nearly five times the number from the very first race.
