Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) has officially announced its 2025-26 Performing Arts Series, and it promises to bring a vibrant mix of music, culture, and global storytelling to the city. From punk rock theater to world-renowned circus acts and educational lectures from National Geographic, the new season offers something for every kind of audience.

Mark Levine, Director of the Visual and Performing Arts Center at OCCC, joined News 9 on the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to share the exciting lineup.

“We’re starting out the season in October with a performance of a production called Hasta la Muerte, and it is a Day of the Dead theatrical event produced by a punk rock band of all things,” Levine said. “For me, it’s really great because I love the idea of fusing music and theater, and that’s so exciting.”

The show will be timed just before the Day of the Dead holiday and kicks off a diverse season that continues into spring.

In November, OCCC will welcome back Grand Kyiv Ballet, which performed in 2024, for a classic production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs — a performance Levine says is perfect for the whole family.

In 2026, the season continues with Cirque and Afrique, an acrobatic spectacle from Cirque Kalabanté, an African circus troupe based in Montreal. “It’s a beautiful Cirque company,” Levine said. “They do African circus shows, so very cool performances.”

The series will close with an installment of National Geographic Live, a lecture series that explores topics like space exploration, offering an educational experience that connects storytelling with science.

According to Levine, every ticket purchased helps support student programs and education at the college. “People of Oklahoma City get to come in and see national and international touring productions and get great entertainment, as well as knowing that their money is going to support education.”

Season ticket packages are now available, ranging from $150 to $250 for all four shows. Tickets and additional event listings can be found at OCCC Visual and Performing Arts Center's official website.

“Family-friendly events, mostly,” Levine added. “It’s such a great cause.”
