The Oklahoma City Philharmonic spent Friday evening in dress rehearsal, preparing for the world premiere of American Indian Symphony, the executive director of the Philharmonic told News 9.
The Philharmonic is made up of dozens of talented musicians, the composer of the Symphony said.
American Indian Symphony is structured in six sections, each representing one of the six regions of Native Americans in North America, composer Jerod Tate explained.
He added that there will be music sung in six different native languages with rhythms developed in each of those native communities.
"We have different audience members that are from the different tribes that are going to be able to understand the words as they're being sung. To me, that's just really, really exciting to be able to represent our native languages on a concert stage in such a dramatic and theatric and expressive fashion,” Tate expressed.
There will also be moments of remembrance since Saturday marks 30 years since the Oklahoma City bombing, Brent Hart, Executive Director of OKC Philharmonic shared.
The event starts at 8 P.M. on April 19.
