The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs is hosting a resource festival on Wednesday for veterans working to find shelter and housing.

What Resources Are Available?

The VA's Oklahoma City location and other partners working for the homeless community are pulling resources together to help veterans.

In addition to helping veterans find housing options, the festival will also have resources for employment opportunities, mental health services, medical care, legal assistance and many other support services for both veterans and their families.

How Has The Program Seen Success?

In fiscal year 2024, the VA OKC Healthcare System reported that it housed 367 veterans experiencing homelessness in Oklahoma, with 98.8% of these veterans having not returned to homelessness.

"They saved my life," Oklahoma City Army veteran Tracey Woodruff said. "They took me from living behind a dumpster to now, I have my own apartment."

When and Where Is It?

The festival will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the Oklahoma City VA in the atrium on the ground floor.
