Bethany woman arrested in child abuse investigation

One person has been arrested after being accused of abusing their 13-year-old daughter in Bethany, according to police.

Bethany Police say Star Morita's daughter told staff at her school that her mother hit her with a belt and choked her.

After telling officers where the alleged abuse happened, Bethany Police say they went to the home and arrested Morita.

According to investigators, Morita admitted to hitting the girl.

Morita is in the Oklahoma County Jail facing a child abuse charge.
