84-year-old man found dead near fire in Pottawatomie County

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office says an 84-year-old man was found unresponsive while authorities responded to a fire Friday morning.

Authorites say they were responding to a report of a controlled burn when they received a second call about an uncontrolled fire in the same area.

While on the scene at the second fire, firefighters said they found an unresponsive man who was pronounced dead.

The name of the victim has not been released.
