Beam Live brings new music and dining to Oklahoma City

A new venue in the Belle Isle area is bringing live music and dining together for an all-in-one entertainment experience. Beam Live, a listening room and dinner club, has opened in the former Belle Isle Brewery space.

"This is Oklahoma City's new listening room slash dinner club. You can have a bite to eat and enjoy the show," said Wayman McAllister, a representative of Beam Live. "We have touring acts as well as local acts. And it's one of the few places that you can get all in one now in the Metroplex."

The venue offers food from its restaurant partner, Belle Isle, and starts shows early in a family-friendly, non-smoking environment.

For those looking to take the stage themselves, Beam Live also hosts an open jam session every Tuesday night.

"We started open jam about four months ago on Tuesday nights, and we have the full backline capability so we can accommodate full bands, solo, duo, acoustic, electric, you know, plugged in, unplugged, original cover music, whatever," Wayman said. "We accommodate a lot of folks from 7 to 10 p.m. We have a lot of signups these days. It's grown."

In addition to live music, the venue is available for private events such as wedding receptions, corporate parties, and birthdays.

"It's a very versatile room. It's large, not too large," Wayman said. "Of course, with the restaurant downstairs, we can do order from the menu, full catering, buffet. And we have, you know, comedy in here. We have all different types of music, all genres. It all works in this room. It's very intimate and it's well built and has served the community for a long time."

Beam Live is open Thursday through Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at beamlive.com.
