Perondi’s Stunt Dogs and Dock Diving Show is back at the Tulsa State Fair for its 20th year. Owner Chris Perondi said it’s one of his favorite stops.
“I have actually been coming to the Tulsa State Fair more than any event that I do across the country,” he said.
The show is a popular attraction, and fairgoers are advised to arrive early, as it often fills to standing-room-only.
“We have frisbee-catching dogs in the show that will showcase some freestyle Frisbee. We have racing dogs that showcase multiple different dog sports in one, and we even have dock diving this year, where dogs will be jumping off the dock and flying into the pool for a distance,” said Perondi.
Perondi’s Stunt Dogs and Dock Diving Show is 25 minutes of nonstop entertainment, even for four-legged attendees.
“You will notice every show the dogs' tails are wagging because they are happy, they are having fun,” Perondi said. “We put them in positions in the show that they totally dig and enjoy, and that is the key.”
The dogs, each specializing in their own tricks, share one thing in common: they were all rescued.
“Every show that we do, we promote animal rescue, pet adoption, and obviously encourage people to spend more time with their pets,” he said.
There are three shows daily on Central Park Hall Lawn near Gate 1. Showtimes are at 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
