The van driver for the Art 4orms Foundation is using his role as a way to bounce back from a pretty rough year.

Bertram Kimbrew has been driving for the Art 4orms Foundation for about 8 months now. He said driving for the Art 4orms Foundation, along with creating art there, is having a big impact on his life.

About a year ago, Kimbrew's wife passed away, and then two months later, he was diagnosed with cancer. Kimbrew said he lost a sense of hope after that.

However, when the opportunity to drive students to and from the Art 4orms Foundation came along, he said his prayers were answered.

The nonprofit ensures students in Tulsa have access to art education. Kimbrew said the students and the art gave him a sense of purpose again and provided some therapy.

"Being around these young people, it inspires me actually at this stage of my life. It really truly does because they are impacting generations that come with art and through art," Kimbrew said.

Kimbrew also said he knows art can make a difference in a child's life because it's had an impact on him. He said it allows everyone to put their problems aside and do something productive and creative. Kimbrew said he also knows what art can do for the personalities and confidence of the students he drives to and from the nonprofit.
