Sunday marks 50 days until the 2024 election on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
The most prominent item on the ballot this November is the Presidential election between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, but that's not all that voters will decide on this year. Voters in Tulsa will elect its new mayor in a runoff election between Monroe Nichold and Karen Keith.
Two state questions will be on the ballot, SQ833 and SQ834.
State Question 833 would add a new section to the Oklahoma Constitution that would permit the creation of "public infrastructure districts that would provide support, organization, operation, and maintenance of services."
State Question 834, aims to amend the Oklahoma Constitution and "clarify" that only citizens of the United States are qualified to vote in this state.
The Oklahoma Constitution currently states:
"Subject to such exceptions as the Legislature may prescribe, all citizens of the United States, over the age of eighteen (18) years, who are bona fide residents of this state, are qualified electors of this state."
Meanwhile, State Question 832, will not appear on the November ballot after Gov. made the decision to move the vote to June 2026.
