Oklahoma State and Oklahoma have announced a new title sponsor for the Bedlam Rivalry Series and details for their nonconference men's basketball game at Oklahoma City's Paycom Center on Dec. 14. Tickets go on sale to the public on Sept. 18.
The Bedlam Rivalry Series will now be sponsored by the People of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas, highlighting their commitment to supporting the rivalry between the Cowboys and Sooners. OERB Executive Director Mindy Stitt emphasized the industry’s role in supporting education and investing in communities, contributing over $2.9 billion in taxes and $800 million to education last year.
The Bedlam Series, which began in 1999-2000, is currently led by Oklahoma State with a 13-11-1 record. OSU Athletic Director Chad Weiberg expressed excitement for the new partnership and the upcoming game at the Paycom Center. “OSU fans take great pride in the success we've had in the Bedlam rivalry. Although we know Bedlam will look different moving forward, we are excited for this game in the Paycom Center and are grateful for the people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas for their support of the series.” OSU Athletic Director Chad Weiberg said.
The sponsorship will boost the series' visibility and fan engagement, including rights to Bedlam Series branding, season-long fan opportunities, and exposure through various media and in-venue signage.
