The Wagoner County Sheriff's office is still searching for a vehicle involved in a road rage incident last month.

The back roads of East 221st Street South and State Highway 104 can be pretty quiet. Still, on Aug. 28, the Wagoner County Intersection looked a little different.

“We had an individual that called us because he was driving down Highway 104, had another vehicle pull out in front of him causing them to almost wreck,” said Wagoner County Sheriff's Office investigator Jake Carey.

Investigator Carey said the person who called was in fear for his life when two men began attacking his car.

“They went and retrieved chains from their car, came back and started beating his car with those chains,” Carey said.

Carey said the victim pulled his gun out and showed it to the people who were beating his car, causing them to leave. He said the sheriff's office responds to road rage incidents often.

“I used to be on patrol, and we would respond to at least two or three a week, pretty easily.”

Carey said this one could have ended much worse.

“Whenever you have road rage incidents, a lot of people, they're just, their energy gets pumped up, their adrenaline flows, they tend to make bad decisions, so a situation like this could have turned out bad very, very quickly,” Carey said.

If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, Carey said to keep calm and call the police.

“You never know if someone might have a gun inside their car and then you incite something, you start something, they pull a gun and shoot you, so your best bet is to just keep driving down the road,” said Carey.

Wagoner County Sheriff's Office said they're still looking for the drivers of the vehicle.

Deputies said they were looking for a red and gray 2000s model Dodge truck with green paint on the bumpers.

If you know anything about them you're asked to contact the sheriff's office at 918-485-3124.
