A man was arrested for setting a fire within city limits, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and reckless discharge of a firearm according to police.

Police identified the man as Paul Strizek.

Police say the incident happened near South Peoria Avenue and East 66th Place.

Officers say they arrived after getting called for assistance from the Tulsa Fire Department. TFD says the man started a fire in his backyard and threatened them when they arrived.

Officers say they learned from the neighbor that the man had fired his gun into their house while they were inside, earlier that same day. Officers surrounded the man's house as the man kept going in and out of his house screaming.

K9 arrived to assist in taking him into custody when he was in his backyard, according to police.

Police say the man was bit by K9s while resisting arrest.
