One person was arrested and another hospitalized after a fire at an apartment Thursday morning in Oklahoma City, firefighters say.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department said they responded to a fire at around 3 a.m. at an apartment near Northeast 23rd Street and North Lincoln Boulevard.

Crews on scene said they found a man on in a bedroom on the building's second floor, who was taken to the hospital.

That man's condition is unknown.

While firefighters were putting out the fire, Oklahoma City Police said a woman was interfering with firefighting operations, but eventually left the scene.

However, OCPD said they were later called back to the scene after the woman reentered the building that caught fire.

After officers attempted to remove them from the building, the woman resisted her removal and struck an officer.

The woman was arrested for assaulting an officer.

Crews are still investigating the cause of the fire.
