1 Hospitalized After Wreck In NE Oklahoma City

One person was hospitalized Wednesday morning after a crash in northeastern Oklahoma City, firefighters say.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department said they responded to the scene at around 6 a.m. near North Kelley Avenue and Northeast 23rd Street, where a driver struck a telephone pole.

Firefighters said the driver overcorrected after striking a newly-placed curb, crossing onto the other side of the road and colliding with the pole.

OKCFD said the driver was taken to the hospital while crews work to clear the scene.
