A local boutique is giving kids and adults an opportunity to 'Do-It-Yourself' with workshops that teach how to create specialized home decor and gifts.
News 9's Addie Crawford took the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to AR Workshop in Edmond to learn about their camps and other learning opportunities.
One of the owners, Mickey Bunal, said they are offering several classes and camps this summer for kids of all ages to get involved in.
For the younger crowd, they are hosting a 'Bring Your Doll To Camp' series where kids can make matching tote bags, shirts and pillows for themselves and a doll.
They also have a 'Glam Series' in the afternoon, during which kids can make friendship bracelets, sunglasses, compacts, and keychains.
Throughout the summer, they will offer several other craft-centric class series, such as tie-dyeing, candle-pouring, and watercolor journaling.
Bunal said camps like these are a great way to get kids off the screen and find their creative side
"In the very beginning of the week, they're kind of quiet and shy," Bunal said. "By the end of the week, they're all best friends and they have so much fun and they draw pictures for us."
AR Workshop also offers adult classes with crafts such as calligraphy, marble art, knit blankets, cookie decorating and more.
