May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, and representatives from the local library joined the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to share what they are doing to celebrate locally.

Tai Chi Instructor Nile Burge and Kelly Dexter with the Metropolitan Library System say tai chi is a good way to engage with the culture.

“Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art and the way we use it is through exercise and stretching for older adults,” Burge said. “It's good for everybody.”

The Metropolitan Library System is celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month by offering tai chi classes and highlighting relevant books.
