Turner Turnpike Scheduled To Partially Close For Construction Near Stroud

A major construction project on the Turner Turnpike is set to cause some road closures near Stroud in the upcoming weekend.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority said the turnpike's westbound lanes near Stroud and the Stroud Service Plaza will close from 9 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. on Saturday.

Saturday night, the eastbound lanes between Chandler and Stroud will close as well.

Both closures are to allow work crews to hang new bridge beams.
