One man is dead after allegedly pointing a gun at officers this morning.
Oklahoma City Police responded to a call about a domestic situation at McGuire Senior Living Center in northeast Oklahoma City a little before 8 a.m. this morning.
When officers arrived, they said a man involved in the domestic was outside waving a gun around. That man ran inside the building to the lobby and officers ran after him.
According to police, officers confronted him inside and the subject then pointed a gun at the officers.
"It’s believed he pointed a gun at officers, and one of our officers returned fire, striking the subject," OCPD Captain Valerie Johnson said.
The subject was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The officer that fired is now on paid administrative leave.
Police have not released the victim’s name or age but it is believed he lived at the senior center.
