Man Arrested After Leading Oklahoma City Officers On Chase In Stolen Truck, Police Say

One person has been arrested after leading officers on a chase in a stolen box truck, according to Oklahoma City Police.

OCPD said they tried to stop the stolen truck on Monday, Sept. 11, when the driver tried to take off, backing into a police cruiser.

In video obtained from an officer's bodycam, an officer inside the cruiser escapes the vehicle in time before the truck crashed into it.

The driver then took off towards an area near Northwest 96th Street and North Harvey Avenue, where officers say he ditched the truck and tried to hide in grassy area.

The driver was taken into custody, but has not been identified.
